Sermon Series: Relational, Cultural, & Religious Idolatry

I had the opportunity to preach at my home church (Midland Bible Church) for three weeks again last month, and two of my sermons are now up as a podcast on iTunes. Below are the first and third of a 3-week series on Idolatry in the church.

Unfortunately, the second sermon (on Cultural idolatry from Jonah) did not get recorded, so only two are available.

So please listen and let me know your (honest) thoughts.

Here is the link to the podcasts on iTunes (stream or download)

Idolatry: Part 1 (Relational Idolatry)
(From the story of Jacob and Rachel/Leah found in Genesis 29)

Idolatry: Part 3 (Religious Idolatry)
(From the Woes to the Pharisees and Scribes in Matthew 23)
For those wondering, someone (whose name will not be revealed) accidentally took my sermon notes in this message and left church early. They ended up returning them partway into the sermon – that’s what made people laugh about 15 minutes into the message.

  1. Joel – I'm not sure I'll have time to do a full recording, but I'll post my notes and perhaps a quick summary because my notes aren't always accurate to what I preach…
